Today we experienced an issue where email destined for easyMail mailmaps (not easyMail accounts directly) were delayed. For clarification, mailmaps are also known as aliases, where you can have “whatever@yourdomain.com” forward to “youraccount@gmail.com”.
In this situation, the email destined for easyMail mailmaps was redirected locally, and queued. We have since dequeued all of the affected email, and it has been relayed on to the destination mailservers (such as Gmail, Hotmail, Comcast, etc). According to our investigation, this would have affected email relayed between 10am EST and 2pm EST. Steps have also been taken to ensure that this does not happen again.
