While the attack is ongoing, at this time our mitigation systems are handling the load and all nameserver clusters are responsive. We are monitoring the situation closely but expect that the worst is over as of now. As always, thank you for your patience.
We are currently experiencing a DDoS attack across all of our nameservers. Our sysAdmins are investigating the issue, and hope to provide further information in the near future.
Update 12:39 am August 13
The attack was mainly felt on the West Coast, mitigation was kicked in immediately on DNS2 and DNS3. DNS1 is less responsive at this time but we are about to roll out some tweaks which should hopefully improve things.
The attack target has been identified and is co-operative, we have segregated them onto a separate delegation.
Every report of DNS impact looked at tonight thus far was for domains using legacy nameserver delegations. Please make sure your nameserver delegations are current so that you enjoy the full benefits of all nameservers available to your level of service.
If we are your registrar: just manage your “nameservers” in the domain administration module and click on “Use easyDNS Nameservers”, will update your delegation for your given service level.
If we are NOT your registrar: use the chart at https://easydns.com/our-nameservers to use the correct nameservers for your service level.

Remember, if you operate a domain that absolutely, positively MUST be online all the time or there’s hell to pay, look at using multiple providers and if necessary, automate the switchover using Proactive Nameservers.
