Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I Login?
A: How you access our system will depend on whether you owned a .CA domain name through CADNS. There are three different scenarios, so please read through each carefully and decide which best fits your situation. If you have any doubts or questions, please use the help information at the bottom of this page to reach out so we can assist.
Scenario 1: CADNS.CA Customers with an account number
Your 9 digit CADNS account number is your username, and your password has not changed. You can login via the LOGIN button below. If you do not remember your credentials, you can use the PASSWORD RESET button below.
Scenario 2: Instantdomainregistration.com customers who also own a .CA
Your non .CA domain(s) have been merged into your .ca numbered account. If you have multiple .CA account numbers, your non .CA domain(s) may have been merged into one of your .CA account numbers. You will have received an email as to which .ca account number holds those domains if this is the case.
Your 9 digit CADNS account number is your username, and your password has not changed. You can login via the LOGIN button below. If you do not remember your credentials, you can use the PASSWORD RESET button below.
Scenario 3: Instantdomainregistration.com customers who do NOT own a .CA
Your Instantdomainregistration.com username is staying the same, but you MUST reset your password through the PASSWORD RESET button below.
Q: Will you reimburse me for my pre-paid domain registration fees?
A: If you have purchased or renewed a domain name for a fixed term (3 or 5 years typically), you own that domain for that period of time. The fee for owning the domain has already been paid and will not have to be paid again unless you want to add more features or additional years to expiration.
Q: How do I renew my domain?
A: easyDNS has a different process to renew domains than you have experienced with CADNS. It is necessary to create an invoice and then make a payment which will then provision the renewal (or new domain registration). You can set domains to auto-renew if you provide a credit card on file and we will auto-bill at renewal time. Renewal notices via email will start to be sent out a few months prior to the expiry date of your domain. For detailed instructions on how to renew domains, please click here.
