As part of ongoing security improvements, it has become necessary to stop allowing the use of TLSv1.0 to connect to our mailservers. This is already in place across most of our infrastructure, but it has come to our attention that a number of our clients are sending and checking email through TLSv1.0 connections. We are therefore delaying this change to our IMAP, POP, and outbound mail servers to allow our clients time to adjust their infrastructure to update and stop using this obsolete protocol.
Due to TLSv1.0 being unacceptably insecure, we will no longer allow such connections effective Jan 31 2022. After that date, anyone attempting to connect through TLSv1.0 will be unable to do so until they correct their software to use a more current TLS version. Ideally, we would recommend TLS1.2 or TLS1.3 as we will also need to be phasing out TLSv1.1 in the near future.
