Earlier this morning, some customers may have experienced sporadic DNS resolution errors when querying “dns2.easydns.net”. This was the result of one of the nameservers in the Anycast cluster that makes up “dns2.easydns.net”, and we have worked with our upstream provider to have it removed.
During this time, the nameserver would have been inaccessible, and queries directed to it would have simply timed out. At no point would incorrect or outdated data have been returned.
With the nameserver removed from the Anycast cluster, normal service has been restored, and we apologise for the inconvenience.
