Most of the nameservers are up or worked around, as follows:
ns1: up, but null routed by some carriers
ns2: up
remote1: sporadic
remote2: up but null routed by shaw
ns3: up
ns6: up, rerouted
The DOS attack has been ongoing and we have managed to maintain DNS availability for the most part. Some customers are reporting DNS outages, most of these fall into two categories:
– customers whose domains are not delegated to all 6 of our nameservers
– customers who are trying to resolve their addresses from a network that is null routing us
It is important to bear in mind that in the case of the second type, even if you are unable to resolve your domain name, most of the rest of the internet can, if you look at your webserver logs or other analytics programs, you should see that traffic is still hitting your website.
Thanks to all who are perservering with us through this.
