This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our services, including domain registration, DNS hosting, email, web hosting, and related features.
We are a Canadian company incorporated in the Province of Ontario and comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). For customers in the European Union or other regions subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar laws, we take additional steps (such as data minimization and redaction where required) to align with applicable requirements.
This Policy applies to all customers globally. By using our services or providing information to us, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect

We do not collect sensitive personal information (e.g., racial/ethnic origin, political opinions, health data) unless voluntarily provided in a support context (and only processed as necessary).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information only for legitimate business purposes, including:
- To create, manage, and secure your account.
- To register and manage domains in compliance with registry/registrar requirements (ICANN, CIRA, etc.).
- To process payments, issue invoices, and handle billing.

We do not use your information for automated profiling or targeted advertising beyond service-related communications.
3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share information only in limited circumstances:
- With service providers (e.g., payment processors, cloud infrastructure) under strict confidentiality agreements.
- With domain registries or authorities (e.g., ICANN, CIRA) as required for domain registration.
- In response to valid legal requests (e.g., court orders, subpoenas duly served within a competent jurisdiction) or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- To law enforcement or security researchers in cases of confirmed abuse (e.g., spam, phishing, malware).
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice where required).
- Please see our Takedowns and Disclosures Policy
Public Whois Information
Domain registration requires publicly accessible Whois data under ICANN and other registry rules. This includes names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of listed contacts.
- Whois data is public and not protected as private under this Policy.
- You may enable privacy/protection services (where available) to mask your details, but underlying data may still be disclosed to registries or authorities as required.
- For current Whois examples or lookup tools, visit our domain tools at https://app.domainhelp.com/.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., session tokens) to enhance your experience on our website and control panel:
- To remember login sessions and preferences.
- For security (e.g., fraud detection).
- To analyze site performance (aggregated, non-personal data).
Our cookies contain only unique identifiers (no usernames, passwords, or sensitive data). We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising.
Most modern browsers allow you to manage or block cookies via settings. Disabling cookies may limit functionality (e.g., login persistence).
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary:
- Account data: while your account is active, plus a reasonable period after closure for legal, tax, or audit purposes.
- Domain registration data: as required by ICANN/CIRA/registry rules (often indefinitely for historical accuracy).
- Logs and technical data: for limited periods (e.g., security logs typically 30–90 days).
- 2FA/mobile opt-in data: only while needed for authentication.
- Please review our full Data Retention Policy
Dormant accounts may be deleted after prolonged inactivity, with notice where feasible.

Depending on your location and applicable law (PIPEDA, GDPR, etc.), you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or update your personal information.
- Request deletion (subject to legal/regulatory retention obligations).
- Withdraw consent (where consent is the basis for processing).
- Object to certain processing.
To exercise these rights, contact privacy@easydns.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

As a Canadian company serving global customers, your information may be processed in Canada or by our service providers in other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual protections) for cross-border transfers.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (e.g., encryption, access controls) to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure—use strong passwords and enable 2FA.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, services, or practices. We will post the revised version on our website and notify you of material changes via email or account notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law
