Tuesday July 27 starting at 9PM EST we will be switching our outbound email infrastructure for easymail and easySMTP over to newly rebuilt servers. There will be a brief period in the transition when the outbound mailservice will be shut down, not more than 5 minutes, during which time you will be unable to send email. We are not anticipating any trouble in this process, but if you see any trouble with sending mail that is not resolved within an hour please contact our support department.
UPDATE (28 July): We are aware of problems with outbound delivery for some mailboxes. The best method to allow outbound delivery right now is to disable TLS/SSL – either set it to ‘none’ or ‘auto’. There is also the option of using our webmail at https://messages.easymail.ca/.
We are working on fixing this and will update you when you’re able to enable TLS/SSL again.
UPDATE #2 (28 July): Port 465 & 587 are now accepting TLS/SSL outbound delivery. Only ports 465 & 587 at the moment – we are looking at the other ports.
UPDATE #3 (29 July): We experienced a network communication problem for about 45 minutes (11:15am to 12:00pm ET.) The issue is now resolved. Only sending emails was affected, receiving worked as always during this time period.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
