We recently experienced a routing issue which affected one of our primary nameservers and two legacy nameservers for some of our customers:
ns1.easydns.com
remote1.easydns.com
ns3.easydns.org
During this time, DNS queries to the nameservers listed above may have resulted in timeouts. This appears to have affected customers that have their internet connectivity peered through Level3. This means that for some, one of the various routes that traffic can flow through on the internet was not able to connect to a few of our nameservers.
This issue would have only affected those who are not using the new easyDNS interface and/or still have their domains pointing to any of the nameservers above. We have since updated the IP addresses and glue records for the nameservers listed above to “66.225.199.10”, and this has bypassed the routing issue while we work with our upstream providers to resolve this problem.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
